First Knysna Santa Dash promises a Ho, Ho, Ho, whole lot of fun for everyone this Christmas.
The first Knysna Santa Dash promises an evening of fun for the whole family, regardless of fitness level.
The Knysna Santa Dash is inspired by similar events that take place in countries around the world over the Christmas season. The idea is a simple one – participants must dress up in their most colourful Christmas-themed clobber and walk, run, dance, or skip their way around a 5km course. A shorter, 1km Reindeer Run for youngsters is also planned.
To add to the fun, each entrant will receive a complimentary set of jingle bells to attach to their shoes, the scenic route through the Knysna Golf Course will include festive water points and “cheerleaders”, and all finishers will take home their own Santa hat. Post-race, an evening of music, dinner and drinks are planned at the Knysna Golf Club. And. to top the night off, Santa Claus himself is all set to make a surprise appearance.
